If you are going to Budapest ,and you are between the ages of 26-40, then the Old Man's Pub is the place to be. This has got to be the best hangout in eastern Europe. Great food and drinks, live music every night,and after the live music is done they got 2 small dance floors for you to let it loose....

Zold Pardon is a big, outdoor venue that has a few bars and live music. There are lots of Budapest locals here and it seems pretty popular among a young crowd for dancing, drinking, and partying. When I went there was a live band playing. Definitely wasn't folk music, but I'm sure the lineup changes...
