Hula Bula Bar
Hula Bula Bar Reviews

Located just a little way outside of Perth's CBD, this little bar is hugely popular with the after-work-drinks set, and is completely packed out on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
It's small; on and a bit rooms to be exact, with a people capacity of about 100 tops, so it's certainly what one would call an intimate night out. But it's fabulous. Hula Bula is reminiscent of a South Pacific beachside bar, with murals on the walls and lots of fake foliage everywhere. Drinks are reasonably priced for what you get (they're priced between 14 and 25$$ and are generous in their alcohol content), and if you are happy to leave an ID deposit of some kind, you can have your drink in a Tiki Mug. :D The music is low and loungey.. good beats and recognisable oldschool songs. Huge carved wooden Tiki-Gods glare down at you from the walls, and even the toilets are themed! PLUS they give you toys in the drinks, like eyeballs and swamp-monsters! :D In conclusion, this place is awesome. It's become my new favouite joint in Perth for a few drinks and a conversation with friends, as one can groove but still hear each other over the music and chatter. It's something a little different for the sleepy little city of Perth, and is well worth a visit in the late week. |

The bar was as you'd expect; lots of woven furniture in the bar area, animal striped seats, palm fronds and shrunken heads. We couldn't really afford to drink there on our budgets, but the cocktail menu looked awesome. We really… Queens Park & the Hula Bula Bar |
