Hugo's Restaurant Reviews

Dec 23, 2007
On the busy, north corner of Santa Monica & Kings is a small, modern, restaurant named Hugo's. I didn't know anything about Hugo's except that it was an organic place. As I walked through the doors and looked around, I was sold immediately. However, I had high hopes and wondered if the food would match the cool decorum. All of my high expectations were met.

The interior is modern--clean, simple lines with a flair. It has the vibe of an expensive restaurant, but the prices are fair and the servers are nice. It's the type of place where they actually LIKE that you linger.

My friend and I had a hard time deciding what to order. All of it is organic--SO delicious and hearty too. They have creative dishes (I ate the Very Green Casserole and my friend had the Black Bean Quinoa Burger), as well as, standard meat, fish, and pasta entrees too. They have a variety of dishes, so there’s definitely something for everyone. Also, they offer a wide selection of drinks: teas, coffees, juices, smoothies, and liquor too.

For dessert, they have a tiramisu, which is famous. Hugo’s serves breakfast, which is known for its celebrity sightings. They have an outdoor patio and a relaxing tea room in the back.

I can't wait to bring my friends and family here. If you're in the area (Hugo's is just south of LA's "Sunset Strip") and want to try a different organic restaurant or just something different in general, come to Hugo's.

*Weekday reservations available.

(There is a second location in Studio City. Check out the website for details.)
