I only spent a few days in Vietnam as part of an Indochina tour. To really appreciate this country it would take weeks to explore the hidden beauty of a country with so much destruction endured in its history.

An amazing experience! My first time being back after 15 years... it was more than a traveling experience, but rather a personal one. I've learned so much about myself, my own history and culture and have come to love the people as if they were my family.

I awoke at 4.30am to pouring rain. I climbed into the minibus where we were offered delicous coffee and a sandwich. We drove as the sun rose to "My Son", temples 30km outside of Hoi An. Isn't it weird how it is - you go backpacking but you keep running into the same people! I guess that means most of us don't venture as far off the beaten tracks as we'd like to think we do!

Sleeper bus to hue. Quite nice actually.
Get tohue earlyish (like 9 ish).
havoc over getting a hotel/hostel. End up in a semi nice hotel.
Go have breakfast in Lonely planet recomended plce was ok.
Its tipping it down and we go for a walk then oprganise a otorbike tour around hue, it was siiccc…
