The Best Hostel in Vietnam! May 15, 2011
After travelling around Vietnam for some time and realising that hostels are predominantly twin private rooms, my friend and I were desperate to find a fun backpackers hostel with dorms, so we could meet fellow travellers.

This hostel was ideal!

The entire downstairs area is a bar/restaurant which is great for chilling out during the day. The food is fantastic (I especially enjoyed the chips after having noodles and rice for so long!). There are computers with good internet connections.

Crucially however the hostel comes alive at night! People who arent staying there are welcome to use the bar and it's a really great atmosphere. The drinks are cheap and the guy who runs it gave out free shots to get the party going. There were drinking games and we made so many friends (some of whom we went on to travel with and have stayed in touch ever since).

The guy who worked there then took us all out to a club round the corner called 'Brown Eyes' which was a slightly bizarre but brilliant mixture of music - didn't think I'd be dancing to the Spice Girls in Vietnam!

It's a safe and brilliant place to stay, can't recommend it highly enough!

Great fun at a great price Apr 11, 2011
This was a great place to stay, It's located 1km away from the coach terminal in the centre of town. Australian run. Prices for a mixed dorm start off at $6/£4, At reception you can book day trips and can even book transport heading to Halong Bay, Laos etc. Theres a vibrant bar downstairs which normally continues into the early hours & how about this... FREE BEER BETWEEN 6-7! (local beer) I'd be sure to head back there next time im in Nam.

Touristy but great May 19, 2010
This was a great place to arrive into Hue - the staff are very friendly and helpful. The beds were clean with a very nice pillow and clean sheets. The rooms is general were clean, and there were nice lockers at the base of each bed. These come with their own locks, so very useful indeed. The rooms only have a couple of power sockets, so make sure you charge your items asap before a queue forms. Their bar is what makes the place - the beer is reasonably priced and is a great place to chat to other people and share tales with. Their tours are quite comprehensive, but cheaper ones can be found with independent agents. They do have free internet too, which is nice! The bathroom shower has decent pressure but the temperature can be variable. The toilet is decent enough, and toilet paper is provided. The location is excellent - it is situated at the heart of the backpacker area, has many bars and restaurants nearby but isn’t loud. Their balconies on the upper floors are a nice place to hang out to at the end of the day! Overall, this is a great place to start off at - you'll meet great people here.
