Huaca de La Luna and Museum Jun 07, 2016
You will probably start your visit with the museum (price 5 soles) and then continue to La Luna temple (Sol temple is closed and no one knows when it will be open again). Museum has few rooms where they placed only objects in excellent shape. Some beautiful ceramics and golden jewelry. Explanations are in English and Spanish and you’ll enjoy this little place.

Huaca de La Luna is some 400m away and you can’t enter there without a guide, but that is not a problem because your ticket entitles you to a guide. Ticket is 10 soles and I bought it at the main ticket office at the museum. Guides go every 15 minutes so there is no much wait. Temple is big and interesting. You can see some basic building techniques and levels of painted walls. It takes around one hour to go over the different areas and see everything you can see.

Temple of the Sun and the Moon Aug 21, 2005
These ceremonial centers belong to Moche Culture, here the ancient people people offered sacrifices to their god: Aipaec.

The Temple of the Sun: It has 6 levels and is considered the longest pyramid in the country. Unfortunately I couldn't visit it because it was deteriorated and they were working on restoring. It was used for ceremonial purposes and possibly also for administrative ones.

The Temple of the Moon: It has 9 levels. I could visit it. This temple was built during different periods. Inside you can find a large of multi-colored murals, especially the image of Aiapaec and different kind of animals.

If you are in the area are interested in the archaeological sites, you will enjoy this.
