To finish the train story we got on early in the morning and at first I was nervous as everyone was buying toilet paper from a lady inside the station. Did they know something I did not know? I was not taking any chances and bought some as it was super cheap. Ended up not needing it so maybe it was just a sales technique to make farangs spend more money. Not sure. The car we got was basic but most importantly had padded seats. So many forms of transportation in Th...

We headed out of Bangkok to a small town called Hua Hin. We spend four days here in the beach and checked out some temples. There is an amazing night market where we dined Thai style. We have had some great food. We have not been too adventurous yet. They eat every part of most animals. We saw an eyeball kebab in the grill today. I think that I will stick with the noodles for a while.
This town is full of creepy old men with beautiful young thai...

These are a few photos from a summer holiday to Hua Hin with my ex boyfriend...basically it was two weeks at the beach, with a day trip to The Bridge on the River Kwai, and day scuba diving at Chumpon and some fabulous food and a tailor made dress (which I don't actually like)...

We have been going to Hua Hin for years and years, I remember it so well from when I was younger.
Hua Hin is a nice relaxing place that is still cheap for shopping, eating out and cheap local transport. We have stayed at many different places from budget hotels to the best luxury hotels in Hua Hin. Where we stay in Hua hin depends who is going, if with some friends, like on this trip, we decide if we want budget or luxury, this time we went for luxury and stayed at the Wora Bura Resort, whic...

Those are the keywords in Hua Hin. Your day should consist of: wake up, eat, relax at the beach, eat, relax at the beach, eat, massage, and sleep. You can also check out the night market where you will be able to find your usual range of clothing & pirated dvd's/cd's. Enjoy!

We arrived in Hua Hin in true traveller style, on the local bus, which was surprisingly pretty easy!! For those of you paying attention (which I probably wouldn't be) this is a change from our intended itinery. We were going to start heading south via Ranong on the west coast of Thailand, however this was going to be very cost and time intensive so we chose a 120bt ($5) bus trip to Hua Hin instead. Hua Hin is very different to any of the places we have visited so far.&n...

Primates 1 again today - I am deeply suspicious that despite being given my favourite team (and the team I am leader of) so many days in a row before I leave, that Emma has concocted some horrible schedule for me for my last day. I'm just enjoying P1 though and watch the newer staff struggle through more challenging schedules while I get on with my favourite jobs. I didn't get a chance to go down and see Sid's group, Ting Tong and Cocksucker get released but lots of people did and the reports...
