Hu Hot Mongolian Grill Green Bay Reviews
Create your own dinner and let them cook it for you. Aug 29, 2009
Approximate cost per person: $10 for the entree.
Slowest day of the week to go: Mondays.
This is a novel place and it is fun to eat here at off-peak hours. Food is cooked in front of you at a round cooking table in the kitchen with a spectating arc around the cooking table. Chefs use long sticks to move the food around, mix, and even out the heating of the stir-fry. The chefs rotate around the table to add to the performance an even sing when they know a birthday is in the house.
Diners select fresh meets, vegetables, and sauces from what looks like a salad bar. Raw food goes into bowls which are then given to chefs to cook. Take as much as you'd like. Invent your own sauces combination recipes or follow one of the restaurants recipes which are posted. It's all in good fun.
I don't recommend coming during anywhere near peak hours and not with a group as you are rarely seated together at the same time.
Meats and vegetables are fresh, the cooks are entertaining, decor is contemporary and cheerful, service is attentive, I give this place a thumbs up.
If you do go during peak times expect a long wait in the cooking line of approximately 15 minutes. I also suggest that you fill 2 bowls and have them cooked at the same time to prevent having to back for seconds and wait in line again.
