Grand Piano Live Music in a cool setting Jun 24, 2008
Howl at the Moon in Kansas City is located in the Power & Light District. During the unofficial Kansas City Travbuddy Meet-Up, it was the pre-meet up location. Apparently there are different location in different states all over the United States. The interior is quite interesting. Set with 2 grand pianos on a performance stage and a full service bar to the left of the stage, it offers live entertainment that involves the guests. Kudo to the piano players, I thought they were excellent at what they did.

We had a pretty big group with us, thereby attracting quite the attention. In participation a few of our group members took to the stage wile some of us danced away to the exciting music. It was an energetic, loud and a little on the rowdy side. Definitely a place to check out if you find yourself in the Light district.

Prices were reasonable, I managed more than 3 drinks (well my friends bought me a couple, lol!)

Howl at the Moon - Cool Piano Bar in KC Jun 20, 2008
Howl at the Moon has locations in different cities. I visited the one in KC during the TB Pre Meet Up. This club has a different concept: the successful dueling piano. They have a stage with a pair of grand pianos. The piano players are excellent, have great talent and come up with their own ideas. It’s good to see original talent. They are responsible for creating an exciting atmosphere there. Just listening to them you get in the perfect mood to get the party started. They play different kind of music and you can ask for your favorite songs. It allows you to sing along with them and become part of the show!

The prices are on par with the other concepts in the P&L District. They have awesome bucket drinks and happy hours, also they have a free Mexican Food bar. If you want to go out and come back, be sure to get your hand stamped. So you will be able to do it without any problem after getting down the P&L district.

The atmosphere is really energetic and the vibe is so cool and relaxed, definitely a MUST! Therefore the place is always crowded, be sure to arrive early if you want to avoid long lines, especially at the weekends.
