Nice Location and spacious room Jun 13, 2015
The hotel located exactly at the opposite Beijing Railway station which is handy when we arrive from Beijing airport by train toward city centre.

It is also close to the famous Wangfujing Street, Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City. However if you are lazy like me to walk under the scorching heat up to 40C degree in Beijing, opt for metro as the metro is underground of the hotel – you need to go out from the hotel front door and then walk to the basement of shopping centre next door. It is fast and very cheap and save you sweating like pig.

The hotel lobby was impressive, really big and one restaurant or bar available from afternoon til midnight at the ground floor near lobby area and I like the Chinese restaurant on the third floor which serve really good food at very reasonable price for the hotel location (please note, the staff in the restaurant couldn’t speak much English). Another restaurant inside the hotel serve Italian food and the breakfast room serve at the fifth floor of the hotel.

One of the female reception was very friendly and speak English well, whereas the other receptions did not speak much English but still friendly. Usually 3-5 receptions waiting at the lobby hotel.

Our room was ready when we check in around 12pm in the afternoon. The room located on the high floor as requested and we have a view toward tennis court below and city centre. The room itself spacious with a very comfortable double bed, desk, arm chair, table, free coffee or tea inside the room and big wardrobe for hanging clothing’s.

The bathroom was clean and spacious with many towels and toiletries. The cleaner clean the room and replenish towels and toiletries everyday.

Surprisingly it was very peaceful and quiet inside the room, we could not hear our next door neighbour either. The air condition working well, unfortunately the free wifi is not reliable and very slow from inside the room.

Originally I only booked for 3 nights stayed, however we ended up staying for more than a week due to unforeseen circumstantial as I do not have my passport on me, and I was not allow to travel outside Beijing without it nor allow to change hotel. Despite this, I was very happy with the hotel as the reception was very helpful with information and map, and location wise very convenient to go anywhere as the train or metro practically located next door.

We left our luggage at the hotel for a couple of days as we were heading to another city after I have my passport, and it was free of charged. When we come back and stay in the hotel again, the reception still recognise me and great me like a friend.

It is cheaper to book from internet through booking.com compare if book directly from the hotel even when you extend the stay. I was happy with the hotel and highly recommend for fellow travellers.
