Procedure to waive fiscal tax Mar 23, 2009
As an Indonesian, you are entitled to pay fiscal tax IDR 1,000,000 (USD 100) per person when you go abroad. It was applied until the end of 2008. Under a new regulation, in 2009 the fiscal tax is raised to IDR 2,500,000 (USD 250). However, you can be free to pay this if you are registered as a tax payer. You can register online or go to the nearest tax office around your home.
At the airport, all you have to do is approaching to the tax booth and bringing: 1. Your tax identity card/NPWP card 2. Copy of your passport (only the front page where your picture, issued, expired date etc are shown) 3. Copy of family card (Kartu Keluarga) in case your spouse (wife/husband that not earn money) travels with you. 4. Children are free of fiscal tax charge, if under 12 years old. (correct me if I am wrong but this is what I remember from the information they put on the glass window). Happy travelling! Part of the Vietnam-Thailand 2009 travel blog |
