You haven't provided much to go on Sally such as where you are coming from, what you want to see, what sort of accommodation, etc so I'm going to assume you are somewhat adventurous.

Come via Singapore if that is what interests you and that's what you want. But you could add more to it by, say, arriving in Thailand (depending on the time of the year). Travelling overland (by train is better than by bus) through South Thailand, down through Malaysia to KL then by bus, train or plane to Singapore. You could probably pick up a good travel deal while in Thailand. When you hit Bangkok, go straight to Kao Sahn Road where most travellers hang out.

Why is that Flynn? I like QANTAS because its safer than any other airline. Its also an Australian carrier which employs lots of Australians. Otherwise you could shop around e.g British Airways, Air New Zealand, etc.

Nope - I wouldn't recommend Qantas as first choice of airline

As it was quite early it wasn't massively crowded or rowdy as it can get when a tourist site gets full.  There is a cafe down stairs and a souvenir shop selling the usual stuff.  I stayed up there for about 40 mins enjoying the warm sun and amazing views.  The Oz trail, the first part… A day out in Sydney

By the way, this evening we are all going to a bar, get some free Long Island Ice Tea and get drunk very quickly. So feel free to come along.”  ... Right now being here is still very surreal. You think, alright, now this is the Opera House and it is a beautiful example of architecture and now I’m standing… Sydney Impressions

After being covered in cling film and scrubbed down we ran to get our bags and then the minivan which was chocka with tourists on a mission to get to the airport in time but the bus was running late and so they panicked a little. We sat chatting to two irish girls and an older lady… Putting our lives in other people's hands...

…opportunity to use the bathroom and freshen up, before going back through security (where they confiscate my water bottle) and then get back on the plane for the second leg. This also goes quite quickly; where I had no one sitting next to me before I'm now joined by a lovely young Aussie named Fiona. We get talking and it turns out she and her boyfriend… A Strange Brew
