Hotel du Roi Christophe Cap-Haitien Reviews
Nice place in a rough city Jan 11, 2011
Cap-Haitien is a great city but definitely has it's rough spots. The Roi Christophe is secure, tucked in a corner and provides a break from the city. It is a great little get-away in the middle of everything. There is tons of old world charm here. The architecture is beautiful.
The front desk staff was very helpful in assisting us with things like power, wifi, the televisions, directions and transportation. It was quiet in the evenings but with many of the guests outside on the open patios watching television, having a few drinks and sharing stories.
There is a restaurant on site serving good food. Breakfast is generally fruit and bread with peanut butter. More options for dinner including some local tastes. We weren't ever around in the middle of the day so I can't speak for lunch.
The price is over $100 USD per night but worth it if you want a place to go to relax at the end of the day.
