Hotel de la Kasba Ait Ben Haddou Reviews
Big and arrogant Apr 12, 2009
When we arrived in the village of Ait Benhaddou we wanted to check in at hotel Dar Mouna, a very nice and cozy hotel in the village. Unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked , so we tried the neighbouring hotel de la Kasba.
This is a big hotel complex with a swimming pool and terrace at the other side of the square with a beautiful view over the river bank and the old town.
It has plenty of choice in rooms. However, we appeared to have gotten a room in the back side. It was hard to find. Then we walked along a corridor with the looks of a prison and arrived in a cul de sac with some heavy cell doors. Were we sentenced? THe room was spacy but apart from two single beds entirely EMPTY! The view was through dirty glass at the old UNSECO town and the bath room was even more dirty.
So, we went back to complain and asked for another room. But the man behind the reception had a bad day and in a very arrogant way he waved us away. No other rooms available sir! We were certain that this was not true, but the receptionist had the manners of a cow and turned his back on us. As it was very late already and we were rather tired, we accepted our destiny and spent the night in prison...
