Hotel Venezia - Albergo Garni Trento Reviews
Unbeatable location and good service Jun 11, 2010
This hotel is located in the very heart of Trento, right in front of the Duomo and the Fountain.
It's a family run bussiness, as so many bussiness in Italy, and the personnel does not speak a word of english, but they are friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk helped me set up the internet even though I was speaking spanish and she was speaking italian.
As every budget hotel in Italy, the rooms are in the middle of a labyrinth, so travelling with a lot of bags is very inconvenient. I booked a room with a shared bathroom, but fortunately there were not many people in the same floor.
The room was quite bigger than the one I had in my last hotel in Italy, so I felt comfortable.
The price was also very cheap, about 40 euros a night; I thought it was a great deal, especially considering the absolutely awesome location. The hotel is locked up at night, and if you want to get in, you need to ring a bell and wake up the guard. It's very funny how none of these hotels has a magnetic card system, I feel so weird opening my room with a key, and having to lock it back when I am inside.
I don't see why not recommending this budget hotel, I think you get more than what you pay for.
