Hotel Trevi Rome
Hotel Trevi Rome Reviews
Nov 06, 2007
This hotel is situated down a series of cobbled lanes just off of the Trevi fountain but not that fair from the main road, so it's quite easy if you are lugging suitcases behind you. Looking at the hotel from the outside you would probably miss it, if it was not for the huge sign saying "Trevi Hotel".
Once you enter the hotel you are embraced by the friendly atmosphere of the hotel staff. Any questions you have about Rome or travelling etc, don't hesitate to ask the receptionists they are extremely helpful! The hotel is quite basic and small, but I found it quite comfortable where I was out gallivanting all the time. The rooms are quite small as well, where there is a mini-bar, hair dryer, safe and TV. The only downside to the hotel, that I found, was the breakfast room. For the size of the hotel the breakfast area was not big enough, it was very cramped and often people had to wait until others finished to sit down. However the breakfast was quite nice, it was a continental breakfast. Just remember to stay away from the bread or make sure you have plenty to drink, it's extremely dry! Everything is within walking distance from the hotel; there are series of restaurants & cafes only a couple of minutes away, if you walk a bit further you have the beautiful Piazza Navona or Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps). It is very central. |

After checking in to our hotel, we ended up walking around the surrounding area in search of our first Italian meal. We ended up stopping at a crowded cafe featuring live music. The food turned out to be really good, but the coffee was horrible.

Rome was a refreshing experience. After about 1 week spent in Paris, Amsterdam and Brugge, my italian biological clock was ticking really hard: I NEEDED PASTA! A respectable italian woman does NOT (I said DOES NOT) go one full week without pasta. Wh…hotel in the Trevi district, in the centre of the city. We arrived (6 months today) at around 11 o'clock.
