Single room is 25 TL (15 USD) per night, room is small and not so shiny like 5 star hotel but has all the needs, i.e. TV, small fridge, air condition etc.

Hotel staff is very friendly, they change sheets everyday and clean the room (that's not what I expected for this very cheap rate)

Best value for money. Located 5 minutes walking distance to city walls, hasanpasa hani, ulu camii etc.

Great choice if you like pink and orange May 08, 2010
The Surkent hotel is a fairly standard Turkish hotel where little English is spoken. What makes this place stand out amongst the competition are the clean and comfortable rooms and its funky decoration. The façade is made of aluminium plates and orange frames, while inside you will find similarly quirky/ugly combinations. The walls in the corridors and staircase are bright pink, while the bed sheets are a similar shade of pink which don't quite match the orange curtains.

The beds are very comfortable though, and the rooms are relatively clean for a hotel of this type. Rooms come with shower, toilet, fridge, TV and Wi-Fi. Air-conditioning costs extra though.

Breakfast is another 5TL. This is advertised with “unlimited tea” which I guess is quite a draw for Turkish guests. I wouldn't mind having some coffee... The breakfast is excellent value though. Apart from the usual bread, cucumber, tomatoes and olives, you also get honey, a boiled egg and no less than 5 different types of cheese.
