This place was great! When traveling in India you have to remember that was it affordable is not going to have all of the western amenities. From a young traveler's perspective, Sheela was ideal. It's about a 30 second walk to the Taj Mahal, it's quiet, and has A/C in some rooms. It cost me 800 rupees a night for an A/C room! The food at the restaurant was good too. No beer but they'll supposedly go get it if you ask for it.

We stayed at the Hotel Sheela which was well located by the East Gate of the Taj Mahal although the rooms were very stuffy and the restaurant was overpriced.  Luckily nearby was a small restaurant called Joney's Place which served up delicious banana lassi's and great… Agra
