Hotel Scoti Sep 29, 2009 Value: Location: Cleanliness: Amenities: Bed: Bathroom & Shower: Service: Hotel Scoti is located on Via de Tournabuoni, Florence's Fifth Avenue, next to Prada boutique. We were astonished when we first walked through the grand wooden door, the building was a mansion from the 15th-16th century, converted into hotel, occupying the 2nd floor. There is no proper lobby, instead we were taken to the living room, beautifully decorated with murals, for check-in. We had a spacious room for 4 person - with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, complete with rustic wardrobes and chest drawer. We loved that everything about the hotel made us feel like we've been back in time, except for the modern bathroom and hot showers, thankfully. Jul 15, 2007 Even though this is rated (oficially) as a 1* hotel, I will give it a much highjer score. First of all for it's location. Above the Prada- shop in the Via Tornabuoni in the center of the city. Just a few minutes from the main square with all its restaurants. And that again is only a few minutes from the "Duomo". The sittingrooms walls and roof is decorated with Frescoes (paintings), the rooms are renovated and clean with private bath. The bathroom we had was the nicest and cleanest we had during our stay in Italy. The staf was friendly and helpfull. The price is good considering the location. And the breakfast is fresh cofee and pastries on a tray at your door at the time you decide yourself. Lovely! Goo location clean
