Hotel Santo Cologne

I spent a night at Hotel Santo when I was in Cologne for a Musical with my ex. Although he had printed out a map before, it took us ages to find it. Well, I'll better leave it to you to form an opinion about the reason^^

However, once found the hotel turned out to be located perfectly. It is only a few minutes away from the main station and therefore from the Musical Dome, too. Despite this location near the main station I didn't encounter any harass by gangs or so even at 1 a.m. - something that can definitely happen in these parts of large cities. Besides, the surrounding area is fairly quiet so that even if we hadn't had a room to the inner courtyard, we would have been able to sleep perfectly well.

The room itself was very clean and kept in a cool, puristic design. The bathroom was almost as big as the room itself and from the first second I fell in love with it. Alas, I could enjoy it only for a much too short time. And up to now I haven't seen any bathroom with such a large mirror :-).

Though the Santo offers only breakfast (like a typical city hotel), this is a dream for every fan of buffets. There was almost everything one can dream of, including fresh fruit, cake and waffles. My ex enthused over it even weeks later - and he's definitely demanding as it comes to food.

So all in all Hotel Santo is a recommendable hotel for someone who wants to spend one or two nights in Cologne and doesn't have to pinch and scrape during his/her trip.

We spent one night in this hotel and had a great time. It is only minutes from the City centre en the famous Dome. We payed 80 euros per room per night so that is a good price. Make sure you search the internet because prices are different. We booked on booking.com which has good prices. The hotel is modern en staff is young and frendly (very!!) |Rooms are not that big but clean. Bathroom is very nice and modern. If you come by car, for 13 euro's you can park your car in there garage. Don't rent a big car, beacause it won't fit inthere it's is very tiny!! Breakfest is really good, buffet style and you can eat averything you like as much you like. Breakfest is included in the room price. Have fun in this hotel.
