Anyway, we arrived at Salzburg Airport around lunchtime, and hopped in a cab to the hotel, I think it cost about 12 euros, which isn't too bad. We were dropped off on the Rudolfskai side of the hotel, and as you'll see from the review I've written of the hotel, we were really pleased. It was so traditional… I Have Confidence (I'll find my way round Salzburg and spend lots on Christmas Stuff!) |

We arrived in Salzburg and struggled endlessly to find the hotel that was located mere steps from the train station. I tell you what, if I ever arrived at a train station and make it to my hotel without any issue I am going to do a cartwheel. Drove direct to my hotel (Hotel Wolf Dietrich), dropped off my stuff, parked the car, and dove right into an afternoon of sightseeing. Really had no idea where to go or what to see here in town, but saw an interesting arch and next thing I knew, I had climbed… Mozart and Maria |

On the way back to the hotel, we went into the 4 storey Salzburg Christmas Shop, opposite the hotel. The level of the shop which was pretty much filled with decorated blown Easter eggs was a bit weird! Each section of each level sort of had a theme...usually colours of decorations… My Favourite Things (Eating and Shopping)! |
