Hotel Saint Honore Paris

Though my detailed ratings might seem harsh, I'm still giving Hotel Saint Honore in Paris, France, a four out of five rating, solely for it's amazingly convenient location.

Located at 85 rue Saint-Honore, 75001, this hotel was a perfect place to stay when I visited Paris for a few days in October with one of my friends. Finding a hotel in Paris can be extremely difficult because Paris is a huge city and it's very expensive. But I highly suggest this hotel if you want something close to all the sights, relatively cheap and clean.

Hotel Saint Honore is located no more than a few blocks from the Louvre museum, Place de la Concorde and the Seine River and within walking distance of Notre Dame cathedral and the Arc de Triomphe. It is also conveniently located near a river bus station, which, for a small fee, can bus you from each of the different tourist sites along the Seine. The hotel was pretty much in the center of Paris; we never took the subway. We either walked or took the water bus. Perfect location.

Though the hotel had a great location, it did have some internal problems. The hotel does not have an elevator and we were staying on the fifth floor (well, the stairs were twisted and very small, so it really felt like we were walking up 10 floors). It was quite a climb and one we hated doing every night. The rooms and beds were nothing special and the bathrooms were absolutely horrible. They are so small that we had to undress outside before walking into the bathroom to take a shower. The room was also very noisy. We woke up every morning to loud street construction and on our last night we were kept wide awake by the sounds of our neighbors having sex - thanks to paper-thin walls.

Overall, this hotel was awesome. Me and my friend would definitely come back. We aren't very high maintenance when we travel (I mean, hell, a hotel should just be used as a place to sleep at night) and the location of the hotel was enough to make us book with them again!
