Hotel RobertRamon Amsterdam Reviews
Trendy and cosy Sep 24, 2010
RobertRamon is a trendy but cosy boutique hotel located in the fancy PC Hoofdstraat (exclusive shopping street) at the "Oud Zuid" quarter of Amsterdam. It's close to the Rijksmuseum and the Vondelpark and it about 15 minutes' walk to the Dam Square.
Despite our late check-in, a little before midnight, we were warmly welcomed and efficiently check-in by a friendly latino receptionist. (We were wondering if this was Robert Ramon himself ... LOL )Even though the welcome was heartily, it surprised me that the receptionist did not speak Dutch.
Our trendy room was tiny but cosy and functional with a very comfortable bed with fluffy pillows, flatscreen tv and desk with lots of info about Amsterdam, a city map and complimentary candy!
The bathroom was pretty basic but spic and span.
A nice touch to the room is the "RobertRamon" logo wallpaper.
My only negative remark is the noise from the street and the passing trams that is quite bothersome.
Breakfast is served in the basement and consists of an elaborate buffet breakfast with champagne! Furthermore there was a nice selection of fresh items and the attentive staff served tea and coffee as well as freshly baked muffins to the table.
On the first floor there is a small lounge with vending machines and a computer for internet access.
Also upon check-out the staff was really friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Affordable Lodging in the Museum District in Amsterdam Mar 14, 2009
On our last trip to Amsterdam we stayed at the Hotel RobertRamon in the museum district of Amsterdam. The hotel was located in within walking distant from the Rijk and Van Gogh museum and 10 min walk from the Leidesplain. We booked 2 rooms, a double for 89 euros and a triple for 119. The price included an excellent breakfast which usually costs 10 euros. So for the price and location it was very nice. The only complaints were that our rooms were not ready at 2 pm, no parking for guests, our room was on the top floor and really small with low ceilings and the luggage room was not secured. The hotel told us that the rooms were not ready because they had an issue with the staff. Not enough people showed up to clean the rooms. I would recommend the hotel based on price, cleanliness and location. Hope you found this review helpful.
