Cheap and (not so) cheerful option. The owner touts his hotel at the bus stand (while trying to slag the others off!) and offers a really ride to the hotel for INR 5 per person. He actually drove us a long route round, as we later realised the bus stand is less than 2 minutes walk from his hotel. He offers dirt cheap rooms, with one aim - commission on a camel safari. Phil and I took a room for INR 150 (we probably could've got it for INR 100!), which wasn't too bad - the matresses had seen better days and were rock hard, but it had cable TV and a hot shower en-suite bathroom (although the toilet leaked!). No internet or wi-fi available, although there's a few internet cafes not far away.
He tried to get us to take a two-day, one-night safari for INR 2,400 each - a ridiculous price considering we later paid INR 850 each at Ganesh. So we saw through his cunning plans and the staff soon turned rude when they realised that we had booked our safari elsewhere. Jaisalmer is a place full of cheap accomodation, so I'm sure there are better, more genuine options out there.
