Hotel President Wilson Geneva

Talk about something to aspire to.. President Wilson has to be one of the best if not the best hotel in all of Geneva. Set by the lakeside, with amazing service and a gorgeous poolside lounge, it is an absolute oasis of peace and luxury. I don't know how much rooms are, as I haven't stayed here, but I would peg it at about $600 a night easily. It's the only area of Geneva where I actually saw Ferraris and Lambourghinis parked outside and people from Saudi Arabia in their immaculate white outfits. But the weird thing was that it wasn't pretentious at all. I felt so happy and peaceful there, which I never feel when I'm at Skybar or any of the American hotels, it's always a trial to get service or feel comfortable for me in nice hotels in the States, I don't know why..

But here come the actual pieces of information that you might be looking for. Only one bus comes near here - the 1 bus, stop Gautiere before it starts running lakeside. Literally though, this arret is basically in front of President Wilson. It is also 1 block away from the RUI dormitories, which is convenient as at these prices, you'll probably end up so broke you'll be living in a dormitory.

Their breakfast buffets are 70 and 90 francs, but include sushi! Their poolside menu is scant but delicious. I recommend the beef carpaccio for about 30 francs.

The spa here is very nice and luxurious. Was it worth 180 francs for a massage? Not really, although I truly enjoyed mine, and I couldn't care less for about 75% of the massages I've had at various places. But neither was the Montage in Laguna Beach particularly worth the two bills I dropped there a few years ago. It's just one of those things you try. If money is coming out of your ears, I bet this is one of the better places to get a massage.
