Hotel Posada de la Aldea

I LOVED this hotel! I have stayed at several hotels throughout Mexico and this is one of the most charming places I have stayed at by far! It almost felt, in a way, that I was staying in a private room at a convent or monestary. The rooms were very clean, light-filled, and airy. The hotel is within walking distance of many great restaurants, sites, and shopping experiences. It is also located across the street from the art institute. Rates run approx $85 (US) per night (single or double occupancy). Rooms come with TV (channels are mostly in Spanish of course) and telephone. If you ever visit San Miguel de Allende, do not hesitate to stay here! You will not be disappointed.
