Hotel Osmine Slano Reviews

Holiday in an almost natural environment Mar 12, 2017
Hotel Osmine is located at the beach Osmine in the holiday destination Slano at the Adriatic sea. Slano is connected by a road called the Adriatic highway from Montenegro, over Dubrovnik and Neum in Bosnia up to Slovenian border. The place is also close to a border crossing with Bosnia by a road from Ljubinje, which inhabitants are regular visitors here.

Slano does not have nice beaches and that is why it is not a popular destination, but the sea here is crystal clean. In a nice bay there are summerhouses and a little ACI yacht marina. Trsteno Arboretum is located only eight kilometers away from the hotel.

There are only two hotels in Slano: a three star Hotel Osmine and a five star Admiral Grand Hotel, so the place is peaceful and perfect for an excape from the city. They were both built during Tito's Yugoslavia and lately completely renovated hotels.

After being tired of my usual summer destionations at the Adriatics, I chose to give a try to a not so inviting place. In Hotel Osmine I stayed seven nights in a double room with double bed and all inclusive service. My room was comfortable with a balcony and a sea view. There was also air conditioning and satellite TV and a sofa. The bathroom was equipped with bath tub and hairdryer with daily changing of towels and replenish supplies.

Hotel had its private beach with several recreational facilities. There is also an outdoor pool filled with sae water. In the hotel price was included the services of renting bicycles and surfboards. Many guests enjoyed playing walleyball at the beach. WiFi was free but only available at the reception. Parking for guests was also free of charge.

There was a good choice of food, but nothing special. The same menu you will find in any hotel at the sea here. The staff was nice and helpful. Animation team did a great job during my stay. The only problem for me were mosquitos that bit me all over, which is not the hotel's problem, but the municipality that did not take the necessary adequate measures against mosquitoes.

I think this is a nice place for a summer holiday for those who live close to this place, but for me once was enough.
