When I booked my room, I was not expecting any frills or luxurious accomodations. The rates they offered me were extremely reasonable and saved me enough money (over the chain hotel prices) that I felt it was worth the loss of a few features.

Favourite hotel in NY Nov 11, 2007
I was enchanted with the Olcott location. It made feel at home, not at a hotel.
