A palace on an oasis Jul 28, 2009
A beautiful hotel, beautifully situated. Built more like a Moorish palace than like a hotel and placed right next to the oasis, the hotel breaths an atmosphere of luxury. My room was very nice and comfortable - with a sitting room and a bedroom (with a very comfortable bed), but I heard the sizes of the rooms range from very small to very large. The restaurant is good, with very good food and an enjoyably interior.
But the surroundings really make this hotel worth the while. Just take two steps out of the door, and you're on banks the oasis, where can go rowing or sandboarding or just have a nice little stroll across the many terraces and craft shops. Or you walk just one minute further, and you're in the desert, climbing the sand dunes that enclose the little town on three sides. Part of the Peru 2009 travel blog |
