Hotel Merlin

I landed in Bydgoszcz airport and took a taxi from the airport, ask helpdesk staff at the airport to call a taxi on your behalf as it will be 30% cheaper than if you hail one outside the airport, to the town centre and set about looking for a hotel for a night and found the hotel purely by chance. I went in without knowing any polish and within 10 minutes i was in a room - the phrase book i had helped - which was small but suited my needs perfectly - it consisted of a single bed, a T.V. and a washbasin and a perfect view of the platform to the right and the taxi rank to the left looking out of the window. Outside the Hotel entrance you have the platform again to the right and the main street to the left. Once on the main street (Zygmunta Augusta)you have the taxi rank directly in front of you, the railway station to your left and in between on the other side of the street you have the bus station making this a perfect location for getting around using public transport. The Hotel at the time of me staying was being decorated and some building repairs/renovations being done, despite this it was very clean and quite.
