One of the best cheap options in cartagena Mar 17, 2011
This is one of the best cheap options in cartagena. It's nothing great, but it is good value for what it costs, you get breakfast, and it's located near the historic center although in a kind of crappy neighborhood (where most of the other budget hostels are located). I'd stay there again.

Good Location, Bad Kitchen Jun 18, 2010
This place is mediocre at best, but at 20,000 pesos a night you expect a fridge in you kitchen. A very big plus side to this hotel is that there is air con in the dorms, woot woot!!! You wake up freezing, one of the best experiences I had while in Cartagena.

The kitchen is crawling with ants and the only two of the burners work, there was never soap to wash dishes and you hating eating off the plates because of it.

With this said, it wasn´t that bad of a place to stay, it´s a place to rest your head, and I think the double rooms are very reasonably priced. I wouldn´t stay here again, unlesss I was in a bind, but it wasn´t horrible.

A decent enough place to base yourself in Getsamani. It has good security, security boxes, free breakfast (eggs, arepa and bread) and internet and helpful staff. At $20,000 a night it´s good value. There is air con from 8pm - 8am and the beds are relatively comfrotable. The only bad things are it´s not entirely clean, the bathrooms are a bit pokey and get dirty easily. Also the rooms are freezing cold early hours of the morning. But better than being raided at gunpoint at Media Luna!
