Hotel Margherita Praiano

If you are looking to visit the Amalfi Coast, than I suggest this hotel. It is located in Praiano, which is located high on the Amalfi Coast with gorgeous sweeping views of the Mediterranean, and the coastal villages below. There are taxis and busses depending on your budget which take you down to Positano, Amalfi, & Sorrento. This hotel is quiet and very personal. upon arrival you can enjoy a glass of the house wine at the quaint bar and when you wake up enjoy a light continental breakfast, which is enough to fill you up until lunch time. The rooms are a good size ( we had 3 to 4 people sharing a room, and we weren't cramped at all) This is a family run operation, who are very involved in the goings on of the hotel, they try to answer every question and attend to every need. The older woman who owns it reminds me of my italian grandmother. During breakfast she came up to us to ask us what we wanted for dinner....we weren't quite sure what we would be doing for dinner but than she started going on and on about how she wanted to make us dinner and we could have anything we wanted. There is also a menu available, but we didn't order off of it...I ordered the local fish served grilled with garlic and lemon, and a side of pasta. We also had bruschetta, and something else which I can't remember. The food was nothing fancy, but still very delicious, fresh, and homemade.
