Los efectos del jet lag hicieron su aparición un rato antes incluso de la salida del sol. Así me pasé varias horas dando vueltas en la cama hasta que no tuve más remedio que levantarme a eso de las cinco o cinco y media de la mañana. Me duché,…hoteles. Porque además de la Villa, poseen otro en el centro de Alajuela ( Hotel Pacandé ), más enfocado a mochileros y turistas que buscan el bajo coste (25$ la habitación doble con baño compartido y 35$ con baño privado). Tuesday morning, we started off with breakfast at the Laguna Lodge restaurant. Then we had a second canal tour to see more animals. The wildlife here is just AMAZING!!! I can't believe how many birds, reptiles and other anima…hotel at Las Cabanitas del Fortuna and had a free night to have dinner and wander into town and check out the local village. The hotel was great, we had 3 double beds in our cabin, a porch… Another Canal Tour ... and off to La Fortuna |

La Fortuna is located at the foot of a large active volcano called Arenal. The views from out of the hotel balcony of the beautiful volcano were quite spectacular. The hotel itself was also pretty damn good. It was definitely the best hotel we staye…hotel balcony of the beautiful volcano were quite spectacular. The hotel itself was also pretty damn good. It was definitely the best hotel we stayed in the whole trip. It had air conditioning, your own 100% Costa Rica Coffee in your room, balcony with a nice… Hot springs and good things |

After a bad night because of a bed, that was too short and not wide enough, we needed to sleep with 2 in 1 bed off course, we get up at 07:45, a bit later, than normal. We’re surprised it’s already this late in the day and start to pack our thin…hotel Lomas Del Volcan pretty easily and check in already at 14:00. We get bungalow 309, the last one on the hotel grounds. Cool, 2 giant beds en a very big hotel room and two terraces: one at the front to watch the monkeys… To La Fortuna – Volcano Arenal |

Wednesday was my FAVORITE day so far! We had breakfast in the morning - yep, rice and beans! Then we got on the bus for a one hour drive up to Los Chiles and took a river trip on El Rio Frio in El Cano Negro. This was similar to ou…hotel for a free afternoon. We wandered into town again today and did some shopping. We needed to be back to the hotel by 4pm for our afternoon adventure.
