We stayed at La Colina in December, 2008. We had one of the "Jungle View" rooms which meant that it was right by the road and we were subject to noise from the trucks that come down the road at 5am. Our room had good a/c and hot water along with cable TV but they charged an extra $3/day to use the room safe(!).

Breakfast was included but was pretty bare minimum - coffee along with either 2 pancakes, or a 1/4 cup of gallo pinto and 2 eggs.

Dinner was even worse - we ordered sandwiches with fires - the sandwiches were pretty basic and they only came with 6 french fries - all for $6 each!

During the day there was rarely a bartender available at the pool bar- if we wanted beers we had to walk to front desk where they gave us some lukewarm beers that were charged to our room for $2/each.

I'd recommended spending a little bit extra to stay somewhere else
