Hotel Jarl Voss

This was a great hotel on our roundtrip through Norway in 1992.
We stayed here for 2 nights but wanted to stay a bit longer. But we had to go further. The breakfast and dinner in this hotel were outstanding and all in buffets.
Voss sits in a location surrounded by snow-capped mountains, forests, lakes and fast flowing white water rivers. This has led to its development as a notable center of skiing, water sports, skydiving, paragliding and other adventure sports. The town contains a stone church from 1277, with a 16th century excentric, octagonal steeple.The town's proximity to the Sognefjord and its position between Bergen and Flåm on the scenic railway is a great location for tourists to stay. We also went to the nice city of Bergen. Unfortunatly we didn't had the time to make a ride on the Flåm train.
