Hotel Indigo Fort Myers River District Reviews
River District, Cheap Rate, Great Location - expensive cab ride Dec 13, 2009
Stylish, pleasant hotel in the heart of the River District about 2 blocks from the river and Yacht Club. Another steal from priceline.com at $40 a night.
Great layout of the spacious room. Only 64 rooms in this boutique hotel, the room felt more like a guest-room suite at a friend's house than a hotel room, which was wonderful.
A Keurig coffee maker in the room with Caribou Coffee pods was a nice touch.
2 full walls of windows gave my corner room (410) on the 4th floor loads of great natural light and a view of the city.
Aveda bath products were wonderful.
Rooftop bar (Phi in the Sky), pool, and "real" gym made this a heavenly place to stay.
The hotel smelled so fresh, warm, and wonderful upon entry and staff was nice as can be.
The king bed was very comfortable and clean. This was one room I would enjoy spending time in --- even though I typically spend very little time in a hotel room while traveling. It was cheerful, relaxing, and charming.
The only cleanliness complaint I had was that the gym was not all that clean, but equipment was good quality and nicely equipped complete with mats and balance ball.
Service was also good with just minor flaws; housekeeping did not replentish coffee pods in the room each day so I had to go get more; towels were not replentished with the same number of towels that were removed - had to go grab clean ones from the pool; and Aveda shampoos were not replentished.
A/C was very comfortable. With the fan running all the time the sound was good for sleeping.
The hotel was about 1/2 full during my stay yet I did not hear others on my floor, very quiet.
Pool was not used by many in the hotel so plenty of lounge chairs to relax poolside.
Adjacent by indoor hallway, Vino De Notte (Italian restaurant affiliated with the hotel) and Ichiban (Japanese restaurant not affiliated with the hotel) were two excellent choices for dining.
Morgan House, just across the street was another great dining experience.
Starbucks was just a few doors down for those who need a fix.
I was pleased with this hotel and would most definitely recommend it to those traveling to this city.
Valet parking was available; the hotel was also pet friendly and I saw a number of guests arrive with their dogs.
Cab ride from this hotel 1 way to the airport cost $36.50 for 2 people --- so if you aren't opposed to public transportation I highly recommend the public bus which was clean, convenient, and uncrowded for $3.00 each way.
Oh yes, the hotel is 100% smoke-free and I really loved that part!
The nightlife in December in this district is dead, so if you enjoy quiet evenings this is the place for you!
