As a native of Gent I had passed this hotel 1000s times. I was deeply disappointed with this place. The first room I was shown smelled very bad, and the bathroom was about 100 degrees. I got the room next door which at least didn't smell. This was in a musty annex with no view, and not the main building. I heard the desk staff giving wrong directions to a guest - they were not aware that the tram was not running past their hotel for several months. The staff in the breakfast rudely asked me for my room number as though I would want to steal their crummy breakfast from them! A disgrace to such a wonderful city.

Seedy, run down untidy and dirty. Stairs so steep you had to go down backwards. Broken lightbulbs, no ventilation in the bathroom. Would have been OK in a one star hotel or youth hostel, but paid 3 star prices. The breakfast was very nice, but ful...read entire review at TravelPost.com
