A couple of years ago we were on our way back from KL to Singapore by coach. We decided to spent a night in Melaka and booked Hotel Equatorial for that occasion.

At the time we stayed there they were just finishing up the last bits of renovation on the hotel. The hotel is located right in city centre so from there everything within walking distance. Tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping streets and malls.

The room had a good size and a small balcony over looking the water of the strait of Melaka. The hotel also had one of the largest hotel swimming pools I ever came across.

Overall Hotel Equatorial quite worth your money I think.

The Malaysian city which is very unmalaysian. The architecture is the first thing you notice when you come here a lasting influence of the Dutch who had colonized this city. Malacca is a medium city but nearly al the monuments are in close proximity…… the classy malaysian city

Die Nacht war kurz. 7 Uhr klingelte unser Wecker, da wir bis kurz nach 8 beim Bus sein mussten. Vor der Abfahrt haben wir noch leckere Kartoffeltaschen zum fruehstuecken gekauft und dann ging es mit dem sehr luxurioesem Gefaehrt los Richtung Malaysi…… Melaka
