After leaving the RENFE train station the Dato is only 150 metres up the street. Easy to find. It has a narrow street entrance to a set of stairs where you find the reception on the first floor. The entrance has Art Deco/Nouveau style statues and styling on the walls.
The receptionist was very kind about my Spanish but we were about to transact the business. It is a two star hotel so don´t expect any frills like mini bar etc but it is comfy handy to bars, eating tourist spots, shopping and the train station. I love hard pillows and bed and this place gave me a great sleep. Just note that if you have a street side room, you will hear people in the street until about 5.30am then you have a gap of an hour before the cities street cleaners begin.
