And so we get to the Borromeo Hotel on Cavour st., drop off our bags, saw that the skies have cleared a little so out we go! We arrived in Rome's Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino Airport a few hours late around 1:00pm and took our shuttle to Hotel Nord on Via Cavour. Since our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived, a few of us decided to go for lunch. Shrugging off the risk of consuming meat with mad cow disease, I ordered lasagna and enjoyed the satisfying, beefy meal… depart Sicily early AM and tour Rome & The Vatican afternoon and night |

We take Via Cavour back to the hotel(as instructed by Vincenzo). This street is busy busy busy. My sister said the Italians are like roaches...they come out in droves at night. Not the most pleasant comparison, but...
We get near our hotel and need… Rome...day 1. |
