Venice is really like all people says about it, beautiful, with a lot of monuments, with little street.....I love it, we stayed at the hotel locanda poste vecie, near to Rialto bridge, it's a little hotel,rather good. We let our car in the San Marco…hotel locanda poste vecie, near to Rialto bridge, it's a little hotel,rather good. We let our car in the San Marco Parking,30 euros each day, and we have bought a 48h ticket for the vaporetto,about 26 euros on their website.

I was up early the next morning, July 16, to head down to the Rialto Market to watch the grocers unload their produce and stock their stalls. The only word I can think of to describe the Market is awesome! Produce stalls dominated, there…bridges across canals to return to the hotel, we walk two blocks and catch the vaporetto at the hospital dock. True, it would be the long way around, but it would be better than trudging through dark streets. Brilliant! What a plan… We do a little orienteering, then off to Murano, island of glass blowers. |

Tarvisio is the first town after crossing the border into Italy. There was a bit of stop here for passport control and clearing customs. FS, the Italian national railway, took over control of the train from ÖBB and Austrian and Italian locomot…hotel, passing under the Scalzi Bridge to let us know we had really arrived.
