Berlin Business Hotel May 11, 2007
The Hotel Berlin Berlin is in the Tiergarten area of Berlin, so is very convenient to most locations. I would say that it's more of a business hotel than a tourist hotel, but would be comfortable for either purpose.
The rooms are clean, bathrooms are well appointed. It has high speed wireless access and all the other amenities you would expect from a business hotel. The hotel has two great restaurants and a very hip and fun bar.  Part of the Berlin 2007 travel blog

Hotel Aida. http://www.hotelaida.de/ Nice rooms with a balcony (like an apt) Wonderful HUGE SPREAD for Breakfast!(call the hotel directly to bargain for a great price) A friend of mine stayed here for 60 euros. Perfect location to train and cafes and shopping!

Fiona and I then took the train and later the metro to the Postdamer Platz, where our hotel, the Holiday Inn, was located. We checked-in, stayed for a while in the hotel room and then went downtown to see a bit of the city. I so love Berlin ! You can everywhere find all kind of different people, buildings and remains of the past… oh, my beautiful Berlin! |

After about an hour and several subway line changes, I made it to my hotel. The subway was literally a 20 second walk to the hotel entrance. Yeah, that close. How convenient! Having stayed year two years in a row, I had become used to the route to and from the hotel to the exhibition center and back.
Caution: Hotels in Berlin are fully booked six months to a year prior to the ITB fair, it is advised that if you plan on visiting the fair, you book your hotels in advance, better yet have someone… ITB Berlin (1999) at Messe Exhibition Center |

Later in the afternoon, we got to our hotel just outside of Berlin! It is a Courtyard by Marriott! An American hotel! Wow, it is sad that I am excited.
With some time before the welcome dinner, I went for a run with some other guys. It was nice and also fun to see the surrounding… Finally to Germany! |
