Subject: Message: Sent: Mon 9/17/07 2:50 AM We made it to Cambodia! The people in Siem Reap are poor. The roads here sucks, tons of pot holes. The local are clueless about asking directions regarding addresses. They prefer to accept dollars rather…hotel - King Angkor Hotel. OK, it actually was better than my Bangkok accomodations bec this has a view and a veranda. They have a rule that you have to take off your shoes when you enter the hotel. Dang it, I should have brought my slippers… made it to Cambodia‏

We caught the 8:00 Bangkokair flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia. We planned spending the next 3 days in Siem Reap and visiting the Angkor Complex. Based on the vacation days we had left we decided not to visit any other location in this…Hotel called Hanumanalaya (http://www.hanumanalaya.com) left our luggage and went off to the Angkor Complex (about 7 Km distance). Day 1 : Our flight arrived in Siem Reap on time. Upon entering the airport, we proceed to apply for tourist visa. Early start as usual and then boarded a bus for an incredibly long journey to Siem Reap. On the way we stopped at this rustic market and were swamped by children selling fruits and then the rushed off and returned with tarantulas all in their hands …Angkor Way hotel (every hotel here is called Angkor Something)l in Siem Reap. A few of us jumped into a tuk tuk and made our way to the sunset temple (can;t remember its proper name) and walked up it with pretty much hundred… Off to Disneyland Cambodia
