Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Hamburg

stayed for four nights in January.
For a hotel with the luxury reputation of the Atlantic, I would have expected cleaner looking and smelling hallways and rooms.
Location is excellent, close to the Alster and the downtown core so excellent for sightseeing. Also close to the main train station and major museums.
Room rate paid was around EUR 160 per night, breakfast included.
Room is very big, richly decorated - hallway, living room, bedroom, bathroom. Bathroom with double sink and large tub and shower.
Hallway and room showed their age with (small) water stains on carpets and ceiling, little bit of mold in the bathroom and a musky smell.
Internet access available, but quite expensive at over EUR 30 per 24 hour period. Not too fast, couldn't handle video conferencing.
Staff friendly but quite impersonal.
Overall disappointing experience, would unlikely choose again.
