A cosy hotel in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul Jul 29, 2008
Me and my father stayed in the Almina Hotel during our 4 days trip to Istanbul. The hotel offered free airport pickup which we used of course. Unfortunatly we had problems to find the guy from Almina between all the other hotel representants so it took a while. Suddenly he found us, but there wasn't much we could talk about as he couldn't speak any English.
We arrived at the hotel before noon and had to wait for about 2 hours to be able to check in our room. At least the hotel is very good located, the area is calm, safe and very close to the Blue Mosque and Haggia Sophia. I really like the terrace where we had breakfast and its view above the sea. Free internet was a great thing as well, unfortunatly there was only one computer. This hotel is nothing really special, but for a couple of days it was more then fine.
