Historic Hotel Nov 02, 2011
I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and agree with other reviews I read on various websites. Dont expect 4 or 5 star hotels in Tacloban. The rate was only about PHP 1600 per night for a deluxe room which was not really modern but clean. The hotel doubles as a museum which is wonderful. I spent a couple of hours looking at all the photos and exhibits from WW2. Wifi in the lobby works well but none in the rooms. While there is nothing luxury or modern about the hotel it has charm and history on its side. Overall would stay again and recommend. Its walking distance to a big church where across the road there is a great coffee shop with an excellent restaurant above it.
