Hot water falls
Hot water falls Krabi Reviews
Rejuvenating Oct 23, 2010
The hot waterfall at Krabi is part of a tour I had picked and it is within a short distance from Krabi town.I did not expect to see a Niagara or even a smaller version of it but as told expected to experience a hot bath or a dip in the pool.
The waterfall is not actually a waterfall but only a part of a stream taking a few meter fall as it flowed into a larger stream.Three terraces or steps holds the flow of steaming hot water before it merges with the colder waters of the larger stream below.
As there are no change rooms near the stream people change their attire in the toilets and covering themselves with their towels walk the path to the stream which is about 50 metres in the woods. The woods are thick and the first step or terrace is generally where the women get into. The terraces are naturally possessed tub like formations and you get to have your own space if at all you get in first. That does not mean you need to rush , there is ample space for all and if you still think it is a crowd, wait for a few minutes you will see the people getting out of the water having had enough. The stream flowing through thick forests is said to possess herbal medicinal qualities and it is said to help rejuvenate you.I gave it a try and whether what they say is right or wrong I was just happy to bathe in a hot water stream and feel relaxed.
The tour had arranged lunch and that is provided in a small restaurant under shady tin sheds.
It is a worthwhile experience and you might like it too.
