A soak and some relaxation Jul 21, 2008
Located in a family greenhouse, the hot springs of Manley Hot Springs are a wonderful place for a bit of relaxation in the rustic surroundings of wild Alaska. There are three baths, each at slightly different temperatures (regulated by the amount of cold water added to the bath). Surrounding you is a plethora of fruits (grapes, pears, etc.) and flowers growing in the greenhouse. According to the Gladys Dart, owner of the springs, the greenhouse supports plants year round, even in the extreme temps of an Alaskan winter.

The Hot Springs of Manley Hot Springs are located on the Dart property just on the opposite side of the Hot Spring Slough bridge from the town proper (or before you get into town coming from Fairbanks). Set up a time with the Dart family and pay the $5 per person fee for one hour in the springs and then enjoy the comforts of beauty of this remote spot in Alaska.
