Hosteria del Viejo Molino
Hosteria del Viejo Molino Reviews
Jul 18, 2007
I just returned from a 3 week trip with a group of high school students to Buenos Aires and Bariloche. After two weeks of living with host families in Buenos Aires, a week in Bariloche at the Viejo Molino was great. The owner, Gustavo, was extremely accomodating and kind to all of us, and his staff was first rate. He provided us with transportation to Cerro Catedral each day, and also loaned us the van on occasion to drive into the downtown area of Bariloche. Our last night there he cooked a special "asado" for one of our students who turned 17 that day, and one of his staff spent all day making the best cake I have ever eaten. As a teacher, we liked this inn because it was halfway between the skiing and the downtown, so it was convenient yet quiet. Also, we didn't have to worry as much about our students sneaking off and getting into trouble downtown! We ate all our meals right at the inn, and the food was fabulous. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and they even turned down our beds at night. This is the third or fourth time our school has booked a week at the Viejo Molino, and I am looking forward to going back next year. I am putting down several $ signs for cost, but I am not entirely sure of the price since it was all prearranged with our exchange director and her budget.
