Hosteria Grau Hostal Barcelona

Every time I visit Barcelona I take this small hotel.
Often they have improved a few rooms. I have not been there now for 2y, so it might be different now.
Rooms are small, but you only sleep there.
There are rooms with and without toilet and or shower, that is all in the price you want to pay.
I have had shared and private bathrooms, and they were good enough, clean enough for me.
The beds are good.
They had no airco, but that might have changed?
You can sleep with the windows open, except on the fiesta de la Merce because the crowd is so big and loud, you won't sleep, even with the windows closed:)
Staff is friendly, but won't leave reception.
There is no elevator, you need to be able to climb the stairs.
They serve breakfast but not in the weekend (I have only been there in the weekends).
You can have breakfast in the Bar 70 meters in the direction of the Placa de Cataluña or at the baker around the corner.
They offer a pc for internet access, it worked and they don't charge much.
From this hotel, you have superfast access to the Ramblas and the Bus Touristic.
Tip: buy 6 bottles of water, as tap water is near undrinkable! and some beer (cerveza) in the supermarket that is nearby on the Ramblas
